UNDERCODE was formed in Zagreb, Croatia, in 1997 by Australian-

born musician Damien Dee. Known for their heavy metal sound, the

band gained a cult following with their 2002 debut Enlightening the

World. After a long hiatus, they returned in 2023 with a sold-out

comeback show and new single, Panopticon.

Undercode is a band known for blending aggressive riffs with melodic undertones, drawing

inuence from both classic heavy metal and modern rock elements. Their debut album

Enlightening the World (2002) quickly gained cult status, particularly after being featured in the

Serious Sam video game series.

Although the band’s live performances slowed down signicantly after 2005 due to Damien’s

move to Australia for family reasons, UNDERCODE maintained a strong creative output,

releasing new music intermittently over the years. This period of relative quiet only heightened

the anticipation for the band’s return.

As they embark on this new chapter, the band is set to bring their unique heavy metal

sound to a wider European audience, continuing to defy expectations and explore new sonic
